10. Press “*” if the serial number entered is correct, the cursor should now be
flashing under the L. Enter the desired loop number for this device.
11. Press “*” to continue, if the confirm bit was set at the beginning of zone
programming the screen will display “XMIT TO CONFIRM PRESS * TO
SKIP” fault the device to confirm the serial number & loop number, otherwise
see step 12.
12. Press “*” to continue, screen displays “ZN ZT - RC IN : RT”

This is the ending summary screen & shows any changes made to this zone.
13. Press “*” to continue, screen displays “PROGRAM APLHA? 0 = NO , 1 = YES
0”. If you want to program alpha descriptors for this zone press 1 & refer to
adding descriptors document, otherwise press 0.
14. Screen displays “ENTER ZN NUM. (00 = QUIT) 11” & repeat steps 6-13 or
press 00 to exit the *56 menu mode, then press “*” + 99 to exit program mode.
15. To program zones using the expert mode press “*” + 58, screen displays “SET
TO CONFIRM? 0 = NO , 1 = YES” press 1 to confirm the serial number &
loop number for each zone.
16. Screen displays:
ZN ZT - RC IN : RT
01 09 - 10 HW : 1
NOTE: ZN = Zone Number
ZT = Zone Response Type
RC = Report Code
IN = Input Type
RT = Response Time
*Wireless Zones use zones 10-25.
17. The cursor should be flashing under ZN, enter the zone number you wish to
program then press the “*” key or press the “D” key to use a redesigned template
for the 5804/5804BD.
